Technical Decisions
WordPress and WooCommerce were chosen due to their flexibility for ecommerce projects and ease of content and product management.
A custom setup based on client’s selected theme was implemented instead of using a heavy pre-built theme, allowing better control over layout, styling, and performance.
The integration of Izipay was a key technical requirement, as it provides trusted and widely used payment methods for the Peruvian market.
An AJAX-powered product search was added to improve usability, allowing users to find products quickly without page reloads, which is especially important for growing catalogs.
Results & Outcome
The final result is a fully operational ecommerce website that allows the brand to sell products online with a smooth and localized purchasing experience.
This project strengthened my experience in:
WooCommerce-based ecommerce development
Local payment gateway integrations
Elementor-based custom layouts
UX-focused frontend decisions for online stores
